Description
This series of topic sheets describe several elements of masonry construction whose proper execution contributes to a functional installation. They will be most useful to the individual who may be a new member to a masonry construction team and unfamiliar with masonry requirements, details, and processes. They are intended to be used at preconstruction or progress meetings as a means to encourage communication between contractors, designers, inspectors, and other team members to help assure that the installation is consistent with contract documents.
These topic sheets are not intended to replace specifications or become part of the contract documents. The authors believe that the information provided is accurate; however, this information should not be solely relied upon for construction. The Masonry Society has tried to ensure that the information provided is accurate; however, this information should not be relied upon for construction.
While this TMS publication has been made available at no charge for an individual’s use, The Masonry Society requests that it not be mass produced (i.e. for seminars), or incorporated in other publications without the expressed written consent of The Masonry Society.
