Mission
The purpose of the TMS Technology committee is to identify current practices and resources related to the design and detailing of masonry using current and developing tools, such as BIM. Promote current solutions that are available for using masonry and develop additional resources to aid others in using these tools. Ensure TMS and its members are aware of the best solutions that exist for masonry. Coordinate with other TMS committees on related topics.
Formerly known as the Building Information Modeling for Masonry Committee (BIM-M).
Goals
- Work on short form guides (videos, “tek” notes, etc)
- Find out what current contractors and designers currently need in their practices.
- Revisit old business that got put on hold (details, specifications, etc.).
