Information

Authors

Abstracts and manuscript submissions for the 13NAMC will be collected using the 13NAMC Paper Portal, which is hosted by Catalyst. Those submitting abstracts will need to create an account with Catalyst to log into the Paper Portal. There is no template for the abstract. After creating an account and logging into the 13NAMC Paper Portal, authors can either type or copy and paste the abstract into the provided text box.

Abstracts may be submitted by an author or by another person designated by the author. Collaborating authors should designate one person to submit the abstract for the group. For each abstract, the corresponding manuscript must be submitted using the same account. All correspondences regarding each submission will only be sent to the submitter’s Catalyst account.

Abstracts and manuscripts will be peer reviewed using rules consistent with those followed for TMS Journal, which include at least two independent reviews, and will be selected based on the following:

  1. Relevance
  2. Quality of Submission (submissions must be well written, clear, and concise)
  3. Complete and Timely Submissions – submissions must be formatted correctly and be sent in on time. Incomplete and late submissions will not be reviewed.
  4. Abstracts are scored on scientific merit, relevance, quality, and implementation.

Submissions may not have a commercial or marketing focus. Those interested in presenting topics which include proprietary products and technology are encouraged to participate in the Innovative Technology Session. For more information or questions, please contact the Organizing Committee at 13NAMC@masonrysociety.org.

For more details about abstract and manuscript submissions, please see the instructions below.

Presenters

For each accepted paper, at least one author must present their findings at the conference for the paper to be included in the conference proceedings and book of abstracts. Authors who cannot attend the conference to present their findings are encouraged instead to submit their works to TMS Journal for consideration.

Presentations will be organized into technical sessions with other similarly-themed presentations. Each presentation is anticipated to be 15 minutes and will be followed by 4 minutes of Q&A. More details about presentations and presentation templates will be made available as the conference approaches.
